GLEN EDEN TOWN BOARD
A decision to take no action in regard to a letter received from the City Council requesting support in its endeavour to have the charter of the Auckland Harbour Bridge' Company cancelled and the Harbour Bridge Empowering Act, 1931, repealed reached at a meeting of the Glen Eden Toivn Board on Monday night. It was also agreed to advise the Auckland Suburban Drainage Board that until a comprehensive drainage scheme was warranted in the Glen Eden district the hoard should not be included in the proposed works, nor asked to contribute toward them. The board decided to request that the Glen Eden and Oratia portion of the mail from Wellington arriving in Auckland should be sorted and forwarded by the train leaving Auckland at 7.54 a.m.
