STEWARD SENT TO PRISON r The probation officer is unable to say anything in your favour—you have a long list of previous convictions, and now you are here on 38 further chnrges," said Mr. F. K. Hunt, S.M., in the Police Court yesterday, when James Ogden Alexander, aged 40, steward, appeared for sentence. Most of the charges concerned the issue of valueless cheques.
