DEATH FROM HEART TROUBLE well-known onerahi man [j)Y TEtEGRAPH—OWN CORRESPONDENT] WHANGAREI, Tuesday One o:f the best-known residents of Onerahi, Mr. Archibald Douglas Weir, collapsed and died this morning while engaged in conversation in a shop at Portland. At an inquest held later before the district coroner, Mr. E. F. Collins, Dr. H. F. Buckley, of Whangarei, gave evidence that in his opinion death was due to heart failure, and a verdict was returned in accordance with the doctor's evidence. Deceased, who was 64 years of age, ■was prominent in public affairs, having been chairman of the Town Board for three years and a member of the board for many years. He was keenly interested in all forms of sport. He had farmed for a number of years at Moewhare, in this district, but on his retirement about 1920 he came to Onerahi, where he entered the butchery business, in which he was engaged up te his death. He is survived by a widow, two sons, and three daughters.
