Hall and Lord Howe are two of the veterans of British motor-racing. Hall was for a period closely associated with the racing of M.G. cars and is regarded as one of the steadiest and most reliable of British racing men. Lord Howe makes motor-racing bis bobby and has a fleet of fine machines, including the French car he used at Belfast. The Tourist Trophy race is a handicap event, cars being given allowances according to the capacity of their engines. The winning car was a comparatively small machine of 1J litres.
