VICTIMS OF CRASH
ALL NOW RESCUED TWO MEN EXHAUSTED ADELAIDE, Sept. 9 The pilot of the Transcontinental Airways machine which crashed on a flight from Darwin to Adelaide, Mr. M. Mather, and the passenger, Mr. L. Maloney, who had remained to guard the gold cargo and finally left the aeroplane in desperation, were found walking on a direct courso to Alice Springs, after having been without food and water for three days. They were picked up too exhausted to give a coherent account of their experiences. The abandoned machine, which landed about 40 miles from the nearest habitation, has been located.
