NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS (Received September 0. 6.5 p.m.) NEW YORK. Sept. 8 The national tennis championships were continued to-day at Forest Hills. Results are:— Men's Singles.—Perry beat Shields, 6—4, 4—6, B—6, 6—o, and Allison beat Maier, 6—2, 6—4. Women's Singles.—Mrs. MudfordKing beat Mrs. John. Van Ryn, 6—2, 6 —o; Miss Helen Jacobs beat Miss Lyle, 6 —o, 6 —4; Miss Stammers beat Miss Badcock, 5 —7, 6 —3, 6 —2.
