CAR OUT OF CONTROL
TELEGRAPH POLE WRECKED DRIVER ESCAPES INJURY [by telegraph—own correspondent] TE AROHA, Monday While swerving to avoid another car in Kenrick Street last evening, Mr. Nicholas Quirk, of Te Aroha, lost control of ,the large sedan car he was driving. Accelerating rapidly, the collided in turn with a tree, a telegraph pole and a free air and water standard.The telegraph pole was brought to thfl ground .and the car was extensively damaged, but Mr. Quirk escaped injury.
