NEW ROLLING STOCK
WORK AT ADDINGTON IMPROVED RAILWAY SERVICES New railway plant which will bo constructed at the workshops at Addington will provide tho means for great improvements to rail services in the South Island, particularly for passenger express lines. Tho workshops staff—increased to many men above normal and working two shifts a day—is exceptionally busy and will have work for a long time ahead on tho new programme, which includes tho following construction work: —Five new passenger cars, 20 covered goods waggons, 20 frozen meat waggons, and ten additional new passenger cars.
