HELP FOR MORTGAGORS
SUPPORT AT COURT FARMERS' UNION SCHEME [from our own correspondent] HAMILTON, Sunday In order to assist farmer mortgagors coming under the provisions of the Mortgagors' Final Adjustment Act, it was decided at a meeting of the Waikato sub-provincial executive 'of the Farmers' Union to set up a committee to ensure that any mortgagor requiring assistance shall have the advice and the presence of a member of the committee to assist him in presenting his case. Mr. J. H. Furniss, who proposed the scheme, said that other executives of the union had been taking action along the lines suggested, and they had been of great assistance. It was demonstrated to the Court, he said, that tho mortgagors did not stand alone and that the mortgagors had the support of the farmers' organisation.
