VIGOROUS ATTACK
RABBI ON GERMANY "CIVILISATION OUTRAGED" (Received Augrust 28. 5.45 p.m.) LUCERNE. Aug. 27 " You banish us and civilisation banishes you who have outraged its values and violated its sanctities," declared Rabbi Stephen Wise, president of the American-Jewish Congress, in the course of a vigorous attack on Nazi Germany at the Zionist Congress. Dr. Wise said that Jews protested against the falsehood of race superiority and race inferiority. Jewish emigration was the answer to the Spanish Inquisition and must be the answer to Germany.
