Mrs. Ccdric Knight, of Auckland, is visiting Rotorua. Miss F. Peglar. of New Plymouth, is at the Central Hotel. Mrs. Norman Brett, of Remucrn Road, is visiting Wellington. Mrs. A. E. Moore and her two children are spending a holiday at Rotorua. Miss M. Duder, of Church Street, Devonport, will leave to-day on a visit to Rotorua. Mrs. John Ramsay and Miss E. M. Fetherston, of Melbourne, are at the Grand Hotel. Mrs. J. G. Coates and Miss Coates left last evening by the limited express for Wellington. Mrs. K. McLesiy, of Napier, and Mrs. L. R. Anderson, of Shanghai, China, are at Hotel Cargen. Mrs. Desmond Williams and Mrs. Miles Otway, of Te Awamutu, are spending a holiday at Rotorua. Mrs. H. Hartley, of Morrinsville, Mrs. H. F. Benjamin, of Tauranga, and Miss M. E. Harding, of Dargaville, are at the Station Hotel. The first of a series of dances to be held bv the Auckland Welsh Society took piaee on Monday evening. It was a very pleasant and successful Function. Mrs Hessel Witham, of Sydney, arrived in Auckland this week, and has been staving with Mrs. Robertson, of Parncll. She will leave to-day by the Wanganella for Wellington. Miss Stella Murray, of Christchurch, has "-one to France for a month as the rrnest of a friend who has a chateau in the fascinating district of the Loire, 'wrote our London correspondent on August 10. She will spend a few days in Paris on the return journey.
