NO ACTION BY OTTAWA MONETARY SITUATION OTTAWA, Aug. 23 The 'Canadian Government will make too opposition to tho monetary planß under 'the new Social Credit regime in Alberta. The proposed issue of scrip is illegal under the Bank Act, but no action will be taken unless it conflicts Twith. the business of other provinces. Tho social credit system makes nocessary a large foreign exchange fund for Alberta, but the Bank of Canada will only provide this in tho regular way by paynient in Canadian legal tender.
