SUCCESSFUL NURSES

POST-GRADUATE COURSE The 1935 session of the post-gradu-ate course for nurses terminated last Friday in Wellington, when the diplomas wore presented by Dr. M. H. Watt, Director-General of Health. Ho said the course had been in operation since 1928, and 87 nurses had been awarded tho diploma. Among the students attending the course this year was the assistant matron of the Colonial War Memorial Hospital, Suva, Fiji, who was granted a scholarship bv the Rockefeller Foundation for this purpose. Bursaries granted included one by the Waipawa Hospital Board to a senior sister. The nurses who gained their diploma in hospital administration ana the teaching of nursing were:—Miss K. Bourke, Wellington; Miss M. Black, Waipukurau: Miss M. Duthie, Blenheim; Miss I. Hawkins, Waikato; Miss 1C Hughes, Suva, Fiji; Miss A. Stokes, Auckland; Miss A. Tothill, Wellington.
