TAKAPUNA GRAMMAR

EX-PUPILS' FUNCTION FAREWELL TO HEADMASTER The ox-pupils of the Takapuna Grammar School hold a farewell social and dance in honour of the headmaster, Mr. C. M. Littlejohn, who has been appointed headmaster of the Auckland Grammar School. There was a large attendance at tho function, which was held in St. Michael's Hall, Belmont, on Saturday. During the evening, on behalf of the ex-pupils, the secretary, Miss Jean Kav, presented Mr. and Mrs. Littlejohn with a silver tea service. Mrs. Littlejohn, who wore a gown of black floral taffeta, was also presented with a bouquet of flowers. Items were given by the following: —Miss Doreen O'Leary* tap dance; Miss M- Mowbray, sketches; Mr. I. Bushell and Mr. D. Lunnv. songs. The ladies' committee comprised:—• Miss Jean Kay, who wore leaf green crinkled crepe; Miss Kath. 0 Jinan, acorn brown taffeta; Miss Blanche Haden, black lace and chiffon velvet; Miss Helen Schmidt, ciel blue moss crepe; Miss Bub Corner, Lido blue moire; Miss Margaret Bartrum, primrose floral georgette; Miss Moll i' Deighton, white and silver-flowered georgette; Miss Rose Haden, cardinal red floral faille.
