MAUNGAKIEKIE EVENT THIRD ROUND DECIDED STABLEFORD BOGEY SCORES Tho third round of the Maungakiekio Golf Club's competition for the Bledislae Cup was played on Saturday. The results were as follows: — J. D. Slianly beat W. G. Clavis, 1 up; S. Lnnib beat J. Tanner, 1 up; L. Vivian beat J. H. Earle, 3 nnd 1; M. Wiseman beat J. Balgarnie, 3 and 2, One semi-final was also decided, M. Wiß&inan defeating L. Vivian, 1 up. A Stableford bogey competition was plnyed by other members, the best score returned being that of D. F. McCormick, who hns been a member of the club since I'JOS. McCormick pl.iys on a handicap of seven and won the Kingewell Shield contest two years ago. Results were as follows:—A Grade: D. F. McCormick, 30, 7 37; A. Belcher. 21, 9—30; C. Jarman, 22, 8—30; R. Meredith, 24. 5—29. B grade: G. Philson. 26, 17—43; S. Lamb, 18, 14—32 • N. J. Kidd. 22. 10-32; J. K: Johnston, 16, 14—30.
