BUSINESS CONFERENCES MEETINGS IN WELLINGTON Loaders of the Anglican Church throughout the Dominion will gather in Wellington this week for the annual conferences of organisations of the Church. These include the Standing Committee of General Synod, the Provincial Pensions Board, the Board of Missions and the Hoard of Theological Studies. The meetings will begin tomorrow and will continue until Ihuisday. The gatherings will be attended by Archbishop *Averill, and by the following bishops:—l. H. Sprott (Wellington), A. C. Chcrrington (Waikato), C. West-Watson (Christchurch), H. W. Williams (Waiapu), W. A. 11. Fitchett (Dunedin), W. G. Hilliard (Nelson), and F. A. Bennett (Aotearoa). The annual meeting of the Board of Theological Studies will take place tomorrow. No theological degrees are granted by tho University of New Zealand, and it is the province of the board to fix the syllabus of courses of study in theology and to issue the diploma for licentiate in theology to candidates who reach the prescribed standard. Tho Board of Missions ®nd the Provincial Pensions Board will meet on Wednesday, and in the evening the annual service of the Board of Missions will take place in St. Peter's Church, the preacher being Bishop Hilliard. In addition to the archbishop the following representatives will be attending from Auckland in various official capacities: —Archdeacons H. Hawkins and W. J. Simkin, Canons C. A. B. Watson and E. H. Strong, Messrs. C. J. Tunks, Douglas Hay, Julius Hogbcn and J. E. Barton. Archdeacon Hawkins left last evening, and Archbishop Averill and Archdeacon Simkin arc among those who will leave to-night.
