AIRCRAFT ORDERED
£2,000,000 WORTH BRITISH MINISTRY CUT PRICE NEGOTIATED (Received August 20, 5.45 p.m.) . LONDON, Aug. 19 The Air Ministry has negotiated with the aircraft manufacturers for a 10 per cent cut on the purchase price of £2,000,000 worth of aeroplanes, which it has decided to buy within 18 months, says the Daily Herald. The trade realises that it is to its advantage to cut prices when receiving orders as large as any handed out during the war.
