POHUTU'S FIN I; DISPLAY THIRTEEN HIGH SHOTS [by telegraph:—own correspondent] ROTORUA, Tuesday Thirteen high shots -were played by Pohutu geyser at Whakarewarewa thermal region between S a.m. and 6 p.m. to-day, the majority reaching a height of between 60i't. and SOfi. The first evidence of the resumption of activity of the geyser was given yesterday morning when, the Cauldron rose to an abnormal level, partly overflowing over the terrace formation. The geyser, however, did not commence playing until 5 p.m., but throughout the night, and to-day, regular shots were given. The Kereru geyser, near Pohutu, also played several shots to-day, while Waikorohihi, Waikite, and Papakura were almost continuously active a.i> usual. 4
