TRAMCARS COLLIDE
RUSH HOUR INCIDENT SLIGHT DELAY CAUSED Slight delay to outward-bound tramcars using the Town Hall route was caused shortly after five last evening when two cars: collided at the top of Upper Queen Street. A tramcar proceeding from Kararigahape Road to the city, instead of turning into Upper Queen Street, continued ahead toward Grafton Bridge and collided with another car turning into Karangahape Road from Upper Queen Street. Both cars were travelling slowly and only slight damage was done, both vehicles being able to resume their journeys within a few minutes. Although the accident occurred at the beginning of the evening rush period, only a few tramcars were held up and little inconvenience was caused.
