CHANCE ENDS SEARCH

IRISH BOYS LOCATED LOST TOUCH WITH PARENTS [by telegraph—own correspondent] WHANGAREI. Tuesday The desire of an overseas lady visitor to discover the whereabouts of two Irish public schoolboys who had lost touch with their parents has been rewarded. The overseas visitor explained that the boys were sons of a great personal friend, and had come to New Zealand about 10 years ago under the scheme by which prominent agriculturists in the Dominion undertook to teach British public schoolboys farming. For the past three years their relatives in Ireland had not received any word from them, and as she was visiting Australia, she promised to do her best to establish contact with the boys by coming to New Zealand. The visitor was being entertained by some friends, and on her mentioning the name and giving a description of one of the boys as she had known him 10 years ago, it was found that he actually lived in the town. After some difficulty he was found, and mutual recognition was established, and so a long trail, by the merest of chances, ended in Whangarei.
