ADDRESS ON ART
" Art, tho Teacher " was the subject of an address by Miss Edith Sutherland at a meeting of the Penwomen's Club on Friday. Mrs. H. Carr Rollett presided. Art was not merely an expression but a recreation of the subject as it appealed to the artist, the speaker said. It had to begin with dances leading children toward rhythm, while the art of drawing caused them to concentrate. When children became accurate in dancing, and when they tfould draw, they had learned self-control. Art harl also the faculty of nwnkoninq; tlip liirlclon host in individuals and was one of the crreat peace-making factors of the world. A vote of thanks was passed to Miss Sutherland at the conclusion of her address.
