LORRY-OWNERS WARNED
DISPLAYING OF TARE WEIGHT [BY TELEGRAPH OWN CORRESPONDENT] KAITAIA, Sunday As a warning to motor-lorry owners the Highways Board traffic inspector, Mr. C. O'Brien, brought a case in the Magistrate's Court on Friday against a Kaitaia lorry-owner for not displaying on the side of his vehicle the tare weight of the vehicle as'required by the motor regulations. Mr. O'Brien did not press for a penalty. He stated that the case was the first of its kind in the Far North. Defendant was convicted and discharged.
