PROTEST AGAINST WAR
PUBLIC MEETING HELD There was an attendance of about 150 at a public meeting held in the Roxy Theatre last evening to protest against war and Fascism. The meeting had been called by the Auckland Provincial Council of the Movement against War and Fascism. The vice-president, Mr. R. Stanley, presided. The four speakers were the Hon. T. Bloodworth, M.L.C., Mrs. M. B. Soljak, Messrs. J. Edwards and E. Whitlow, and at the conclusion of the addresses resolutions were carried similar to those carried at the demonstration held in the Domain on Thursday evening.
