MOONEE VALLEY MEETING SIXTEEN ANNAS WINS AGAIN RACE RECORD BY CHARACTER (Keceived July 28, 5.5 p.m.) MELBOURNE, July 23 The Sydney hurdler, Sixteen Annas, followed up his success in the Leamington Hurdles at Caul field on July 20 by winning the Aberfeldio Hurdles at the Moo nee Valley Racing Club's meeting yesterday. . Sixteen Annas has become the favourite for the Australian Hurdles, which is to be run at Caulfield next Saturday. Yesterday he carried a stone more than ho has to carry at Caulfield. Ho is owned by N. R. McKenna, part-owner of Dehvood, who won the Brush Hurdles at Victoria Park, Sydney, yesterday. Gates, J. McEvoy, H. Zensky, R, Marsden and R. Skelton, who were injured when six horses fell in the Maiden Three and Four-Year-Old Handicap at Roschill last Wednesday, are all recovering. LIMARCH UNDER CLOUD SHOULDER TROUBLE DEVELOPS SYDNEY, July 26 The Auckland-owned four-year-old Limarch, by Limond from Queen March, has developed shoulder trouble. His trainer, J. T. Jamieson, is treating him, but is afraid that it may interfere with his preparation for spring events. Limarch is owned by the Hon. E. R. j Davis and Mr. O. Nicholson, of Auck- ! land, and has done all his racing in j Australia, where be has been a good t performer. As a two-year-old he won the Breeders' Plate, and as a three-year-old he dead-heated for first with Hall Mark in the V.R.C. St. Leger, and scored outright in the A.J.C. St. Leger. Limarch was expected to do well in important events this season but an injury he received when interfered with while running in the Spring Stakes at Rand wick last year necessitated a long spell.
