VALUABLE SHEEPDOGS
IMPORTATION FROM ENGLAND BOUGHT FOR OTAGO STATION [bt telegraph OWN correspondent] DT7NEDIN, Sunday Tbree sheepdogs of the very best English breed are among the priced possessions of Dr. A. S. Moody, who, after a trip abroad, brought the animals back with him on the T&maroa. One of the new arrivals was bred from an international sheepdog trial winner, and another won the first prire at the Welsh dog trials the week before the ship left for New Zealand.
The animals were specially vaccinated on the ship against distemper. This is treatment which cannot be administered in England, because the special vaccine needed will not retain its potency for the duration of the long voyage to the Dominion. The dogs are bound for Dr. Moody's sheep station in Central Ota go.
