FLOODS IN CHINA
APPALLING MORTALITY HUGE AREA INUNDATED SHANGHAI. July 19 It is estimated that an area of. 2000 square miles in the Shantung province is inundated by flood waters. Fourteen thousand bodies have been recovered in two cities in the Hupeh province. The death roll is at least 50,000 and the Yellow River floods are believed to have drowned 30,000 victims.
