PIAKO COUNTY ROADS
MAIN HIGHWAYS DECLARED EXPENDITURE OF £20,000 [BY TELEGRAPH—-KWN CORRESPONDENT] TE AROHA, Friday The chairman of the Piako County Council, Mr. W.' C. Kennedy, states that following upon his representations to the No. 2 Highways Council a. further 7\ miles of the county's roads have been declared mairt highways, and that expenditure totalling approximately £20,000 has been approved. Of this amount £9125 is for new sealing work. Of the 120 miles of highways in the county 70, miles will be tar-sealed by the end of the year.
