SPORTS PROGRAMME
HOCKEY TEST PRELIMINARIES ■ ■ A series of athletic and gymnastic eventa will be held at Eden Park to-day as a preliminary to the iiockey test match between India and New Zealand. The athletic programme, under the control of tho harrier sub-conimittee of the Auckland Athletic Centre, will comprise a handicap of three miles, a sprint of 100 yds, and a javelin throwing contest. Tho Seddon Memorial Technical College gymnastic oqu.ad, will provide a display of parallel bar work, pjiamids, vaulting horse, tumbling anci clowning, while jiu jitsu will also be demonstrated by boy and girl pupils of the Technical College.
