LADIES' GUILD AT HOME
The Ladies' Guild of the St. Paul's Methodist Church, Remuera, held a very successful At Home in the schoolroom on Thursday afternoon. The hall was beautifully decorated for the occasion, with minosa, asparagus fern and hanging baskets, while bowls of bright spring flowers were grouped about the platform. Solos were rendered by Mesdames Otter and Rosser; elocutionary items by Miss Muriel Partridge, and a short sketch by Misses Roseanne Lovell •and Joy Bishop. The accompanist was Miss G wen French, An amusing competition " Road Signs " was won by Mrs. Moor.
Afternoon tea was sorved by the following hostesses:—Mesdaines Walker, Ready, Adlington, Wiggles worth, Blomfiold sen., C. Blomneld, H. Hill, Strange, Bishop, Berry, Todd Smith, White, Carr, Way to, Roberts, French, Misses A. and E. Fleming.
