HENDERSON FINANCES
ANNUAL RATE STRUCK DECREASE IN TOTAL SUM Estimates for 1935-36 were approved at a special meeting of the Henderson Town Board on Thursday. General hospital and special rates of Is 3d in the pound were struck. The chairman, Mr. H. Norcross, stated that the revaluation of tha district had resulted in a reduction of 34 per cent in the total valuation. The amount of rate on the ]>ound basis had been increased, but the aggregate sum required from the ratepayers would be approximately £'soo less than for the previous fiscal year. The board unanimously expressed approval of the satisfactory position of the board's finances as disclosed by the annual report.
