CAPTIVE MISSIONARY
AUGKLANDER'S .PLIGHT PROSPECTS OF LIBERATION [BT TELEGBAPH PRESS ASSOCIATION] ■WELLINGTON, Saturday Advice has been received by the local secretary of the China Inland Mission, Mr. Vivian, that on June 17 the missionaries, Mr. A. Hay man, of Auckland, and Mr. R. A. Bo«hardt, of Switzerland, were still alive, although in tho hands of R?ds in the mountains of Sze-chuan.
Though still cheerful, they were in great need of clothes, theirs being considerably worn out. As no ransom will be given, it is still believed that the captives will eventually be set at liberty.
