LAUNCH ADRIFT
RAGLAN PARTY'S PLIGHT VESSEL TOWED TO PORT [BT TELEGRAPH—OTTO CORRESPONDENT] RAGLAN, Saturday Concern was felt yesterday that no word had been received for 24 hours of the fishing launch Wainui with its owner, Mr. W. E. Reesby, and two passengers on board. The launch was observed from Bryant Home drifting and other launches set out to give aid when the bar permitted. The Wainui was towed into the harbour and Mr. Reesby reported the vessel had lost its propeller during the previous night. He had dived under the launch in an endeavour to repair the damage, but the? intense cold made the work impossible. The sea was not rough, otherwise, the laynch would have been in a precarious plight.
