CRIPPLED CHILDREN'S FUND
Sir. —Everyone is agreed that money and still more money is needed for this fund, so perhaps I may be permitted to make a suggestion. Why shouldn't every healthy schoolgirl and schoolboy in the whole Dominion contribute one penny each as a thanks offering? This would want to be well organised, so that every school should collect on the same day; or perhaps a little competition would do no harm, in which case the different districts — Auckland, Hawke's Bay, Wellington, etc.—could collect a few days apart and vie with each other as to the amount collected. This plan would, I should think, yield several thousands of pounds. Thank God for Health.
