"ALL BLACKS NIGHT"
.Auckland members of the AH Blacks football team selected to tour Great Britain were the guests of the Auckland Orphans' Club on Saturday night. There was a large attendance. Responding to the toast of the All Blacks, proposed by the president, Mr. C. M. Croft, the manager of the team, Mr. V. R. Meredith, past-president, who presided, made interesting reference to the 1888, 1905, sind 1924 teams ■which represented New Zealand.^ The executive of the Auckland Savage Club were also official guests, Mr. H. E. Gillespie responding to the welcome extended. The protrramme included i selections by the orchestra, under Mr. i Harold Baxter.
