ACCIDENTS IN WAIKATO TWO MEN IN HOSPITAL [from our own correspondent] HAMILTON, Sunday Three football accidents occurred in the Waikato yesterday. While playing in the Kereone-Old Boys' match at Morrinsville, A. J. Aitken, the Waikato representative player, had his cheek-bone broken. A Maori player, Robert Maniapoto, aged 2S, injured his knee while playing at Te Awaniutu. Mack Thompson, aged 28, suffered an injury to his shoulder at Te Akau. Those two players were admitted to the Waikato Hospital. In no case is the injury regarded as serious. MISHAP AT DOMAIN PLAYER SUFFERS CONCUSSION Concussion was suffered by a footballer, George Martin, aged 22, a labourer, of 128 Lake Road, Takapuna, during a game at the Domain on Saturday. He was taken to the Auckland Hospital in a St. .John ambulance, his condition last night being not serious. MATCH AT WHANGAREI SEVERAL MINOR INJURIES [from our own ronrespondent] "WHAXOAREI, Sunday The senior football match played at Kensington Park yesterday afternoon between Horahora and Pipiwai was marked by a series of accidents, most of which were of a minor nature. Two players, however, were carried off the ground and were attended to by l)r. S. H. Ward, who was a spectator. Hector .McGregor suffered an injury to his chest, and Walter Saul, aged about 25, married, suffered two severe cuts, one above and the other below the left eye, and slight concession. Both players were members of the Horahora team, and were later gent to their homes by car.
