SOCIAL EVENING
The Y.W.C.A. Overseas Club hold a most enjoyable social evening in the association hall last week, when about 100 girls and boys were present. The programme opened with a clever comedy by members of the dramatic group under the tuition of Mr. Charles Burnett, the parts being taken by Misses Reid, McCutcheon, Dando, Harwood, Drewett, Fletcher, Martin and Sinclair. Miss A. Heron gave a recitation later in the evening. Miss Jean Begg was the guest 'of honour, and spoke of her work in India and of her visit to Europe in connection with the Y.W.C.A. World's Committee. Mrs. Wood and Mr. McDowell supplied most enjoyable music. Supper was served from a buffet at the end of the hall.
