NEGLECTED PARNELL
Sir, —Might I ask why it is that 1 better postal facilities are not given f tho residents of Parnell. I refer to the f inconvenience one is put to after g | p.m., also on public holidays and Sun. J days, in efforts t,o purchase postage stamps. Could not the heads of the departmont place a stamp machine at thejs| Parnell post office, the same as ia I other large subu?M? In fact, one .of the many stamp machines at the Auck-. I land post office could well be spared, vj At present one has to walk from shoe ; to tihop in the hope of being obliged j with, a penny stamp, failing which, be I needs must go into the city to get ; 1 a stamp, or miss the mail. How long Hi must Parnell residents put up with | this inconvenience? Parnell Resident.
