NIGHT RAIL SERVICE
SUGGESTED MOTOR-TRAIN TARANAKI TO WELLINGTON [by telegraph—own correspondent] NEW PLYMOUTH, Sunday Tho running of a fast rail motortrain at night between New Plymouth and Wellington is understood to be under consideration by the authorities. The accommodation will probably amount to about 50 passengers, and a Diesel engine may be used. A night train service between New Plymouth and Wellington was started a few years ago, but was discontinued when the economic depression arrived. Since then the agitation for a fast night service has been continued.
