"A RUNAWAY GIRL"
EXTENDED SEASON So popular was the spectacular musical comedy "A Runaway Girl" that, although its season closed on Monday night, the committee of the Auckland Amateur Operatic Society has decided to accede to public request, and present the piece at three extra perform-ances—to-morrow night, at a matinee on Saturday afternoon, and on Saturday night. As an additional attraction at these special performances, two extra ballets have been arranged by Miss Cecil Hall. The production is a very spectacular one, an effect which is strengthened by the clever lighting, bright scenery and colourful costumes, for which a tribute must be paid te> Mr. Arnold Goodwin. Miss Beryl Nettleton is responsible for the ensembles, which are a feature of the comedy. A magnificent chorus is another outstanding feature, and this, together with the large orchestra, irc under tie baton of Mr. Colin Must on. A talented cast gives a vivid interpretation of the leading roles with ability which would do credit to a professional company. The producer is Major F. H. Lampen. Booking arrangements are advertised.
