AN AFTERNOON TEA
A delightful afternoon tea was given in the Milne and Choyee Reception Hall yesterday by i\lrs. John 1* nrroll, of the president of the Australian Club, to lady members and a few personal friends. The tables had been charmingly arranged with vases of yellow jonquils and early wattle and the stage partly draped with tho Australian flag. Songs by Miss Kay Christie (Mrs. Hawea Rees) and pianoforte solos by Miss Pauline Rogers wero very much enjoyed, and later Mrs. Farrell delighted those present with her singing of an aria from La Traviata and "Oh, Happy, Happy Wedding Day " (The Chocolate Soldier). Tho accompaniments were played by Mrs. Lysaght. Mrs. Farrell received wearing a navy blue furtrimmed coat oyer a sapphiro blue crepe marocain frock and blue felt hat to match. , Tho invited guests included: —Mrs. A J. St. Clair Rrown, Mrs. J.
