JAPANESE LEADER
DR. KAGAWA LEAVES After a lecture tour of New Zealand, lasting several weeks, Dr. Toyohiko Kagawa, the Japanese religious and social leader, left Auckland yesterday by the Niagara for Honolulu on his way back to Japan. Before the departure of the liner. Dr. Kagawa was farewelled by a large circle of friends, including officials of the Y.M.C.A., who organised what proved to be a highly-successful tour. He said his visit had been a memorable experience and he made a final plea for better understanding between Japan and the Dominion, advocating an exchange of visits by university students from tho two countries.
