WAIKATO AIR PORT
AREA AT RUKUHIA CHANGE FROM TE RAPA [from our own correspondent] HAMILTON, Tuesday The Auckland Aero Club will relinquish its use of the Te Ha pa aerodrome to-morrow, and will commence instructing pupils on the Hukuhia aerodrome on Saturday. The Te Rapa area, which was leased from Mr. D. V. Bryant, comprises 35 acres, and was found to be too small for a commercial air port. Through an arrangement made by Mr. C. B. Smith and the Hamilton Borough Council, an area of 134 acres has been made available as an aerodrome at Hukuhia, GJ miles south of Hamilton. A large hangar has been erected, and other equipment has been provided to make it an efficient aerodrome. The area is to be known as the Waikato Air Port.
