LEAGUE OF MOTHERS
Mount Albert. —An address by Madam Mabel Milne was enjoyed by members of the branch at a meeting held last week. Mrs. M. Turner presided and hostesses were Mrs. G. R. Kean and Mrs. Smithwick. Mrs. Deacon gave the thought for the month and solos were contributed by Mrs. Ross Penman and Miss Fyfe. Ngahape.—Mrs. Mclntyre presided at a recent meeting held at the residence of Mrs. Anderson. The thought for the month was given by Mrs. Addison. After the meeting a bring-and-buy stall took place. Afternoon tea was dispensed by the hostess Onehunga.—A Scottish afternoon was held by the branch last week. Mrs. T. BisKott, vice-president, presided, and gave a talk on the characteristics of the Scots. Vocal items were rendered by Mrs. Rattray and Mrs. Binden, recitations by Mrs. Simpson, and Highland dances by Miss Ferguson. Mrs. Dunkley was pianiste.
