RECENT RECONSTRUCTION LABOUR SEEKS DISCUSSION (Received June 21, 5.5 p.m.) LONDON, June 20 In the House of Commons to-day Mr. J. Maxton (Labour —Bridgeton, Glasgow) asked if the Prime Minister did not think the house should have an opportunity of discussing the situation created by what virtually was a new Government. Mr. Baldwin: No, I do not agree, and if the member has any doubt about the feelings of the country I am perfectly prepared to test it as early as he likes. (Laughter and cheers.) Mr. Maxton: if the Prime Minister is anxious to consider my feelings let the election be to-morrow. The Leader of the Opposition, Mr. George Lansbury, said he would give notice to move for a discussion of the subject.
