INJURED BY EXPLOSION
STUMPING ON FARM [by telegraph—OWN correspondent] DAEGAVILLE, Friday Owing to the premature explosion of a charge, injuries to the right hand •were received by Mr. James Samuel Geard, aged 22, who was engaged in stumping on Mr. Thomas Wreak's farm at Pukehuia to-day. Mr. Geard was taken to the Te Kopuru Hospital, where an operation was performed. It is hoped to save the greater portion of his hand.
