SUGAR PRICES LOWER
DECREASE OF 10/- A TON A reduction of 10s a ton in the price of sugar, to take effect to-day, is announced by the Colonial Sugar Refining Company, Limited. Prices will bo the same as those in forco prior to May 10, as follows: — Castor sugar, £27 15s a ton; brewers' crystals, £26; No. 1 coarse grain, £25 ss; No. 1A fine sugar, £24 10s; No. 2 soft, £24; No. 3, £23; invert sugar, £22 10s. Reductions of 6d per cwt. also have been made in prices of golden syrup and treacle.
