CRIPPLED GIRL'S FINE WORK
Miss Rose Drake, a crippled village girl of Middle Ashton, Oxfordshire, ivho has been bedridden for years, could not bear to think of the suffering of sick animals. So she undertook the direction of the People's Dispensary for Sick Animals in her area, and from her bed organised branches in Oxford, Banbury, Burford, and in Buckinghamshire. She now has 800 children working under her in connection with the dispensaries. " Alleviating the suffering of animals lias given me something to live for," is how Miss Drake views her achievement.
