PLUNKET ACTIVITIES
DARGAVILLE BRANCH The Mayor, Mr. F. A. Jones, who presided over the 13th annual meeting of the Dargaville Plunket Society, congratulated the president, Mrs. A. E. Harding, on the success attained during the year. Ho regretted that owing to difficult times, the society had suffered a slight loss and had been compelled to draw on the reserves, and urged young mothers to give more support to the work. The annual report showed that the nurse's ear had travelled 5049 miles. The balance-sheet disclosed, after allowing for depreciation, a cash balance at the end of the year of £375. The Ruawai sub-branch finished the year with a credit balance of £69, and Te Kopuru-Aratapu with £3. Officers elected were: —Patron, the Hon. J. G. Coates; president, Mrs. Alfred E.
