CONVERSION PREDICTED £10,000,000 INVOLVED LONDON, Juno 19 The financial correspondent of the Daily Telegraph says he believes steps are imminent to convert New Zealand's £10,000,000 worth of outstanding 5 per cent 1935-45 stock. * The correspondent says the outstanding feature on the London Stock Exchange to-day was the strength of giltedged securities. Although prices closed below the best the market was in good trim to absorb municipal and other issues. A Press Association message from Wellington states that the acting-Min-ister of Finance, Hon. A. Hamilton, said yesterday he understood the.conversion of outstanding loans was one of the matters which Mr. Coates was to negotiate in London.
