MOTOR TRANSPORT
PASSENGER SERVICES FOUR LICENCES GRANTED Passenger motor service licences were granted by the Central Licensing Authority yesterday, when four reserved decisions were announced by the chairman, Mr. J. A. C. Allum. The services granted are:—Pioneer Motor Services, Limited, between Auckland and Whangarei; Auckland-Darga-ville Motor Services, Limited, between Auckland and Dargaville; Newby's Motors, Limited, between Auckland and Hamilton; Markey's Motors, Limited, between Auckland and Hamilton. In the case of the two AucklandHamilton services provision was made for a through fare between Auckland and Gisborne and Auckland and Wairoa at the rate of £3 single and £5 15s return, these amounts to be allocated as follows: —Auckland-Hamilton, 10s single, 19s return; Hainilton-Rotorua, 10s, 19s; Rotorua-Opotiki, £l, £1 17s; Opotiki-Gisborne, £l, £2. In the case of the Auckland-Wairoa service, the faros between Auckland and Rotorua are tho same as above. The charge for the remainder of the trip is as follows: —Rotorua-Wairoa, £2 single, £3 17s return.
